Covid-19 Response

Ways Our Church is Helping in the Covid-19 Crisis and Ways You Can Help

  • Wednesday Meal Preparation and Delivery:  Delivering meals to seniors and vulnerable people in our local community. Contact Person: Jessica Wall
  • Prayer Chain:  Join in with brothers and sisters to ask for God's help in the pandemic crisis. Contact: Chuck and Judy Jacobs, Karen Smith
  • Making Masks: Members are making masks in their homes to help stop the spread of the corona virus. Contact: Mary K May, Ida Mae Adams, Reta Hampton
  • Benevolence Needs: Our church is helping our community with specific benevolence needs and food pantry. Contact: Paul Hall, Edd Bailey
  • Video Testimony:  We would love for some of our members to record their own testimony and put it out on social media for the whole church to see (be sure to share on our church Facebook page so we can all be encouraged; also, use the hashtag #spreadhope). Testimonies can be recorded in video or audio.  Help us spread hope! Contact: Bridgett Blakeman
    • All you have to do to share a testimony is answer four questions:  (1) What was your life like before you knew Jesus? (2) What has Jesus done for you? (3) How has Jesus continued to give you hope? (4) During this uncertain time, how does Jesus offer hope to someone else?
  • Family Resource Centers of Crab Orchard, Highland and Waynesburg:  As a church we will be donating monetarily, imperishable goods, and hygiene items to help families in our local community through the FRC. Contact: Mira Reeves
  • Drive Thru Prayer - In Jeremiah 29:7, Jeremiah writes to the exiles to seek the welfare of the city where God has placed them, because in its welfare, they would have welfare. We are inviting you to take a drive through our county stopping at strategic points along the way to pray for our church, our community, our nation, and our world.  Click here for a guide.

* If you have questions about any one of the above ministries but don't have the contact person's number just call our church office at 606-365-3737.
