Our church is deeply saddened, appalled, and disgusted by the events that have come to light regarding Mr. Scott Hughes. These circumstances are heartbreaking and stand in direct opposition to the values, principles, and teachings upon which our church and the teachings of Jesus are founded. As a result, through congregational vote, Scott Hughes' employment with Pleasant View Baptist Church has been fully terminated.
Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with the victims and their families during this incredibly difficult time. We stand firmly in support of those affected and remain committed to offering compassion, prayer, and support in the days ahead.
We will continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement authorities and assist them throughout the investigation. We are committed to transparency, accountability, and ensuring that justice prevails.
As a church family, we recognize the pain, disappointment, and uncertainty these events have caused within our congregation and community. We ask for continued prayers for the victims, their families, and all those impacted.
Our commitment to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our congregation, and the community we serve remains unwavering. We will move forward with integrity, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to doing what is right.
